The Community
One of the best things about living in Cimarron is all there is to do when you’re not at home. Walk out your front door and take advantage of magnificent hiking and biking trails that most people would travel far to enjoy. Gather and play in a family-friendly neighborhood park, or walk down the street to the Resler Trail. Go a few minutes farther and enjoy the startling beauty of the Franklin Mountains State Park. Cimarron is a HOA Governed Community.
Parks and Open Spaces
Cimarron has stunning vistas and views at every turn. Homeowners in Cimarron love the rugged natural beauty of the surrounding mountains and valley. Within our neighborhoods, residents enjoy tree-lined trails and sidewalks, parks, and preserved open spaces.
Schools
Serving the Cimarron community are great eduction options in the Canutillo Independent School District.
Cimarron is home to the Canutillo ISD elementary school which opened in Cimarron in the Fall of 2015 and the district’s middle and high schools are also just minutes from Cimarron.
Canutillo ISD is the only traditional school district in the region to earn back-to-back ‘A’s in accountability.
For the second consecutive year, the District received an Exemplary Performance A-Rating with a grade of 91 in overall performance from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). This makes Canutillo ISD the highest rated among districts in the region.
In addition, the El Paso Independent School District now offers Open Enrollment. This is a program that allows children who do not live within EPISD’s boundaries to apply for enrollment in EPISD schools.
